Having lived in New Malden for many years, with my children attending Burlington School, I’m very passionate about our community. I am a ‘New Malden man’ through and through.

 

I take my role in our community very seriously and I am proud to be the Chair of Governors at Burlington infants’ school. In addition, I am a frequent attendee at the Maldens and Coombe residents committee.

Rail: Fast trains from New Malden station to Waterloo take 30 minutes, or locals can reach Victoria in 40 minutes via Clapham Junction.

Bus: New Malden has direct access to nearby locations including Worcester Park, Kingston, Wimbledon and other towns in the area. By transferring to Kingston’s regular service there is further access to over 30 routes. Numbers 65 (to Ealing), 85 (to Putney) and 281 (to Hounslow) take passengers north of the river, while the 406 (to Epsom) and 515 (to Guildford) travel into Surrey.

Road:  9 miles from the M25, New Malden has excellent road connections via the A3 which is less than 1 mile away, providing good access into central London.

Matt was always on the ball, pro-active and knowledgeable; he carried out tasks very rapidly, and constantly kept in touch with us in a most professional manner. This meant that when any difficulty arose we were re-assured straightaway. Matt always went the extra mile, no matter what the problem.

We wouldn’t ever do it any other way again. It was an excellent service and defied all the horror stories about Estate Agents! We may not have changed our opinion about other Estate agents, but would hope to be able to use Ivy Gate in the future.

Matt went out of his way to build a strong, professional relationship with us from day one; we always had the impression that we mattered to him and that our sale mattered to him. There was no pushiness, no patter, his approach was always backed by his actions, so he proved himself to be genuine.

Good local knowledge, and professional approach. Ours was not the most standard of purchases given our specific personal circumstances coupled with some hurdles along the way but Matt was always calm, understanding and professional in handling matters for us as buyers and am sure the same for the vendors.

The Ivy Gate one personal relationship manager approach made things a lot easier than other estate agents where you get passed around from one person to another at various stages of the process. Simple concept really – and as a marketing person myself it makes complete sense, shame others don’t follow the same model.

My husband and I have recently bought a house in New Malden,for which Matt Martin was the seller’s sole agent. I was very pleased with Matt’s service and very impressed with his knowledge and experience in the business. His expertise and commitment to work is a valuable asset to ensure the sale went smoothly between the buyer and the seller.

He always planned ahead and followed up promptly for each step with every party on the chain. There have been no delays and he always kept us updated of the progress. I was left with peace of mind that the whole procedure was being taken care of by him such that my normal life was not disturbed.

As far as I know, Ivy Gate is the only estate agent, who not only looked after the seller but also supervised the whole process and took the initiative to liaise with all the parties during the process. That turned out to be the key factor that the purchase completed on schedule. This is extremely helpful and important when there is a chain.

Matt has demonstrated high commitment to his work and he was always willing to ensure the whole process between both parties goes smoothly. This has made the whole process less stressful to us.

Matt has provided us with everything we have needed in a quick and timely fashion making sure we were fully informed and in the loop the whole time. Matt also replied to emails that day and was willing to arrange a second viewing outside of his normal working day.

We knew who we were dealing with and who and how to get in contact. This also enabled our needs to be met and understood with Matt for instance offering for curtains to be put up in the bedrooms.

Thank you for the service you have offered, most estate agents make you wonder why you have paid admin fees etc the service that was provided by Matt was worth every penny.

Matt Martin has seen me through a very difficult house move.
Despite my going multi-agency where things did not go well,
lots of promises that were not fulfilled etc., and my house
being on the market rather too long. Matt stuck with
me from beginning to end in spite of this and finally saw it
through with the right buyers. I would recommend Ivy Gate,
their clients are not just local people but come from far
and wide to settle in the Surrey area and all their staff are polite and respectful of your property.

Matt was the main controller of the whole chain. Taking time to link in with all estate agents, solicitors, and chasing where necessary. We had total confidence from day 1 and the completion date would not have happened without his professional aptitude to sellers, buyers, others agents and solicitors. Absolutely superb service! I last moved 17 years ago and it was certanly a refreshing and reassuring service his time! So good to have your own personal service. Knowing Matt was always approachable was just brilliant. And to be told that there ‘may be a roller coaster journey’ was simply truthful, which again was reassuring, and very honest. From day 1: open, honest, professional. Calm, keeping us fully updated with the progress, and a few minor delays. Chasing with tact when necessary. Very approachable, friendly, offering support and advice when necessary. Top class service!!!
