Babak Sianaki

Born in Iran to an Iranian father and English mother I always thought I was lucky to have experienced the best of two different worlds. Being the middle child with 4 siblings meant that from an early age I had to learn how to negotiate with each of them to keep the peace and stay out of trouble!

Property development and rentals have been a big part of my family business and this heavily influenced my decision to move to the UK after completing my Iranian Diploma in Civil Engineering at Kingston University.

My love for customer service and working in a sales environment began when I got a part time job at a high-end jewellery store in Kingston. I was quickly promoted to the weekend manager within a year and spent my summer breaks working for watches of Switzerland in Knightsbridge selling some of the most amazing time pieces in the world and meeting a few celebrities along the way.

After university and with a few years’ experience in renovating, letting and managing a portfolio of properties under my belt, I was drawn into estate agency.

I initially started in the sales department, but quickly decided to switch to lettings as I felt this was more suited to my skill set. I enjoy building long term relationships with my clients, so lettings was the obvious choice. Over a decade later, having managed a few different offices for big corporate companies, I was contacted by Ivy Gate and instantly knew that I wanted to work for them.

Considering the substantial changes to the market and industry in recent years, it was very reassuring for me to see a business that was a step ahead of the competition and had already made changes to acclimatise with the market by only employing highly experienced industry experts to ensure a very high level of customer service is maintained.

As part of the Ivy Gate team I take great pride in moving away from the conventional and outdated estate agency image. We instead concentrate on going above and beyond to make sure we have offered the best and most honest service possible to our clients. This has proven to be a winning formula which we intend to focus on moving forward.

Hidden Talents

My most recent hidden talent is practicing silly dance routines with my 3 year old daughter. Cooking, friends kindly say I’m a talented cook.

If I Won The Lottery

I would love to mix traveling with charity work. I would buy a “laser eye correction machine” and travel to unprivileged countries that can’t afford eye tests and glasses.

When I'm Not Working

There’s nothing like spending time with family. If I’m not watching Peppa Pig or playing with my daughter, I’ll be relaxing with my wife catching up on our favourite TV series.

Interests

I enjoy playing Football and practicing Judo, but follow nearly all sports from snooker to UFC. Theatre, movies, DIY and entertaining friends.
