SURBITON AREA GUIDE

Surbiton

Surbiton

Surbiton sits within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, located next to the River ThamesThe present-day town came into existence after a plan to build a London-Southampton railway line through nearby Kingston was rejected by Kingston Council, who feared that it would be detrimental to the coaching trade. Surbiton has become a highly sought after area due to its very fast transport links into Central London, whilst retaining the feel of a market town. Commuters are attracted by Surbiton’s pleasant riverside location, its green spaces, its fast trains into London and its convenient access to the M25 and A3.
