Some very interesting advice coming from Sky News & Rightmove this morning!
February is the best month to list a home for sale, analysis reveals.
Sellers are most likely to find a buyer quicker and make a sale subject to contract, according to the property website Rightmove, which looked at millions of listings since 2012.
The findings come as the number of new properties being listed increased by 11% so far this year.
“It’s a great time for those looking to sell to make sure they are listed, their marketing is strong and they’re pricing attractively enough against other sellers,” Tim Bannister, property expert at Rightmove, said. Some 66.4% of homes listed in February go on to find a buyer, the best chance alongside April, and take 51 days to do so, joint fastest with January.
February listings are also the most likely to go on and finalise a completion of sale, and the least likely to be withdrawn from the market.
