From when I was a little girl, I always wanted to become a school teacher. When the time came to do my week of work experience, I went back to my old infants school, working alongside my old headmaster and teachers. Whilst I loved it, I soon realised that this wasn’t really what I wanted to do as a career.
I left school and went to Reigate college, but still slightly unsure of what it was I wanted to do. Whilst at college I applied for weekend work and went for an interview at a health club in Cheam. The following day, I was offered a job working for a very exclusive Health club in Chelsea, who were part of the same company in Cheam. I immediately said yes. This was an amazing experience dealing with varying customers, from Hollywood stars to Royalty.
Whilst working at the health club full time as a receptionist in the spa I studied beauty therapy at weekends. This gave me invaluable experience and I was extremely lucky to be given a job here once I qualified
After a few years, it was time for a change and I saw an advert in the local paper to work in a very well known letting agency. I ended up staying there for 16 years. Over those 16 years I learnt so much from a great team of staff and I worked in most of the roles within the lettings industry. Whilst working here I was able to study for the ARLA (Propertymark) exam and obtained this qualification too.
I am so passionate about all things to do with estate agency, which is why Ivy Gate is the right place for me. Their unique approach to estate agency, their impeccable customer service, their enthusiasm, are all qualities that I possess and I love being part of the Ivy Gate team.
